VALVES FOR OBNOXIOUS GASES & VALVES WITH FUGITIVE EMISSION TESTS
When we are dealing with some of the most hazardous gases like hydrogen; phosphene; chlorine; toluene etc it is mandatory that the valves are offered with an extreme level of testing when even leakages of the level of 10^-7 cc of helium to the cc of air from anywhere including body bonnet joint or gland packing or the seating area is considered to be a reject.
We have very strong experience in manufacturing valves for such services. We have manufactured self-actuating swing check valves to and clear fugitive emission tests as per API 624 API 641 etc.
Our experience is in manufacturing metal seated valves and soft seated valves for such demanding services.
VALVES FOR VACUUM SERVICES
As the world of process flow control is moving to reach more efficiency it is moving to vacuum processing. Especially sectors like soda ash production; caustic soda production; staple fiber production; salt production; marine chemicals is now talking about vacuum processing more and more.
With this change in the process requirements, there is a need to change the valves that are being used for such applications as well.
It is a common misconception that a conventional valve will work for vacuum services as well which is far from the truth.
There is a need for drastic design changes if valves are to be designed so as they can effectively and efficiently sustain vacuum even when the level of vacuum is less.
There is a need for special testing if the valve is able to sustain vacuum for elongated time with minimum suction pumping requirements or else the operational cost of the plants drastically goes up making the entire reason for going in for vacuum processing becomes useless.
This is a Helium Leak Test in process using the "Hood" method where any leakage from gland packing; gaskets or seats is checked.
