FUNCTION:

Check valves are typically utilised in systems with frequent and rapid flow reversals, pulsation, or when excessively turbulent flow is desired. Check valves are used in piping systems to avoid flow reversal. They can be used for horizontal or vertical piping runs (up flow through valve only).
